Flaky, creamy Danish-dough is back! ^^ |
In fact, I found it almost remarkable how this was almost identical to the 'strudels' I buy at the Danish bakery on Pape (in Toronto, Canada ^^), which I love but couldn't find anything similar in Denmark and thus deemed it "Canadianized". Biting into this thing, I was amazed. Delicious dough that's slightly flaky on the outside and soft on the inside. Tasty cream, though I found it a little watery and more reminiscent of apple sauce, piped down the middle with a generous (perhaps a tad too much) sprinkling of rock sugar and slivered almonds. This was so good (though the photo seems to reflect more the gloomy day than anything else) and, on top of that, I had three servings of it! This was probably the bakery highlight from the Faroe Islands -- yummy!
PS. A friend said I should put more travel photos in my world tours to make it more of a tour, I suppose. Agree? Disagree? Well, I tried. ;)
