Bakers' is a chic little bake shop that appears to specialize in croissants - they have several flavours - and other flaky, French-dough pastries, both sweet and savoury, along with a mismatched smattering of English scones and pound cakes. What they don't have is the typical selection of Korean buns, which was a fairly welcome change this far into the journey. Prices are above average.
Having already bought enough baked goods, I wanted something that could sit it out for a little longer, and so the croissants - though they looked good - weren't the best choice. I also wanted to go with something a little lighter side.
Along came the green tea white chocolate loaf (4,100 won). It may not look like much, but it was delicious! Lots of flavourful matcha was used without it turning bitter, the texture of the cake was moist and spongy, and the white chocolate poured on top was the perfect complement. Personally, I thought it a little too expensive compared to the other pastries in store, but at the same time, it was worth it. It was nice to have something different, something that had a definite homemade feel to it.
